I remember Dec 21 2012. Thank god the pole shift caused the earth to shift in its orbit, thereby dodging the galactic alignment beam that would have killed us. And after the spiritual awakening we just used our new higher diminsional powers to move the planet back and everything was cool.

This "event" at least for me, was the final nail for those that make these kinds of claims. The 2012 event was widely hyped up around me, was plastered all over the television that I watched up to the the event itself. Now that it has passed, it could be considered a sign of a new age of "enlightenment" in the sense that we can now use this event as a counterpoint for those that make these claims, or any claims that people think have evidence, but fail to prove like.... religion!

The Mayans beat you to it, and they were just as wrong as you are.

Too bad for their theory that the Babylonians were geocentrists who did not think of astronomical bodies as far off worlds but rather as relatively nearby celestial bodies in the sky much smaller than earth. They were actually very advanced, precise and made dozens of crucial discoveries that would ultimately provide the basis for much of western astronomy. They wrote a work called the astronomical diaries that Alexander the great commissioned to be translated into Greek which revolutionized Greek astronomy.

The first time I heard of dec 21st 2012 being the end of the world was in X-Files final episode.
I wish I had stored every stupid video and comment telling us how blind and foolish we were not to see the truth that it was so happening. "Open your eyes, you're living in cognitive dissonance, the government doesn't want you to know", they said.

It's funny, I found one of Sitchin's books and read through it, convinced he was either insane, a con artist, and/or a seeder of the Ancient Astronaut hypothesis, further planting the idea into the public conscious.
