Hey Jake, love your content, congrats! Got two questions for you :

1) Do you have a FzF script that only lists the desktop apps? I'd like to use FzF as my launcher, but I only want to scroll through the 20 relevant apps, not 1. 000 apps.

2) How did you setup the window animations? Is that an option in the dwm config?

Hi. thanks for the video. I'm curious about ram usage at startup with htop with a light wm. neofetch always show a higher number. in your case I see 1.4 gig. seems a program is running. My mx with icewm/dwm/openbox uses around 210mb. I heard void is lighter and it's purpose is being lighter.

Hi, mate

I have a strange issue with Void Linux. Wifi only works after two reboots. I first thought it was a Network Manager issue, but trying to deal with wpa_supplicant, the problem persists. Ip l set <interface> up does not work, only another reboot. Unfortunately dmesg does not show anything wrong.

Nicely done. After a 20+ year hiatus from Linux, I'm back at it again because of Win 11. Currently using Mint for my daily driver as it just works OOTB. However, for my less capable machine, VOID is getting my attention. Your tutorials are really helping.

Btw, @4:25 How and where did you get those icons for your battery, speaker volume, etc...?

You keep tempting me with Void. I am still considering using it on my tablet or my laptop. Just can't get with the package manager. I want to like it, with its similarity in vocabulary to apt, it just is not intuitive for me. Do you have any suggestions to make the package manager more accessible😊

Man I could never make the audio on my laptop work on Void. Everything was extremely fast and it felt clean but just couldnt fix the audio issues after using everything. Don't have time to learn runit and all of that so I might leave it for later. Im on Pop right now just cus I know it works out of the box.

ive been distro hopping for a while and ive tried void for couple of daya i like it so ive been thinking of actually trying in on hardware but rheres not a single video out there of dual booting void along windows which i assume is done like any other distro but i am just too scared of screwing something up.Im not sure are you interested in making that kind of video but anyway been enjoying your stuff so far!
