for passengers its one of the best planes ever built to fly on

One decade earlier and it would had been THE perfect aircraft.
But even before the pandemic broke out it was economically only on a few main routes between a few big cities.
I will miss it's quiet passenger cabins and it's smooth flying capabilities.

I am not into why the A380 failed but have traveled on it a couple of times and was impressed by the roominess inside as well as the smooth take-off and landing and overall flight comfort.

The A380 is the Concorde of modern times. It's a dead end design, but there is beauty in something so flawed. It gives it character.

Loved flying them from LHR to LAX, super smooth lots of room. Hope to again.

Saw a Korean a380 takeoff recently. It was beautiful and used the entire 2 mile runway!

It’s a shame because the aircraft is roomy and comfortable, unlike the cramped conditions of aircraft such as the 777. The business class is also amazing. It is also the quietest plane I’ve ever been on.

If it wasn’t for emirates this would have happened sooner.

When I first saw this thing years ago, it reminded me of the B36 bomber. A huge boondoggle, now just to become an entry under “æronautical oddities.”

Best plane ever for the paying passenger but a passenger is a nuisance rather than an opportunity.

The A380 is the most comfortable aircraft I have ever flown on. I do not consider this a failed aircraft, it is quite successful. Just a limited run of planes built. Less profit for Airbus, but the aircraft is fantastic.

I have travelled with emirates many times on the a380 from manchester to bangkok they were designed to carry 800 plus passengers not 500

Yet again we have been outsmarted by the US this has played out the same as The Concorde, technological triumph, commercial disaster.

Having had several Korean A380 flights, I must say that it was very comfortable, at least while upstairs, flying business class. The toilet up front was almost worth the price of the ticket! It was/is huge, even if that model doesn't come with a shower. But other than that, from a passenger point of view, no different from any of the more efficient double aisle jets out there. Sorry Airbus. You were 25 years too late, or 50 years too early. Nice aircraft to fly in, but otherwise, no loss.

I hear there are plenty available slots at the Pima Air Museum in AZ. Look forward to seeing them there soon! (Or Mojave in CA)

The a380 has been so bad that Emirates can't afford a decent flashlight for inspection!?!? Scary.
