I actually really like the Zippo peanut lighters. Light every time. And the one in my kit was filled over a year ago and still lights first time, every time. Granted, its rarely used, but I think thats awesome.

You can also temporarily remove the batting and pull the wick into the lighter body. This shortens the exposed length. It's a more "permanent" flame adjustment.

Nice I'm considering getting a Zippo do have much use for one, but it is a thing of owning a piece of craftsmanship.
I wasn't aware of how to adjust the flame until this video. The one I'm looking at has the anatomy of the Zippo pictured on the front of the lighter.

How long is the wick supposed to be?? I just purchased my lighter and haven't adjusted anything but I burn through fuel way to fast.
Per your suggestion, I moved my wick closer to the wheel but I still hv a tall flame. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!
