Hi sir, In the last video about MCb rating selection u said 25% higher rating MCB rating is selected with respect to the full load current of circuit, say for example C32 is the MCB 20A is my full Load current then if circuit draws more than 20A doesn't it impact on my circuit as MCB trips over 32A..

From how i look at it Overload and Short Circuit, a shrt crt is nothing but an extreme overload situation. eg. 10.5Amp is an overload for a B10. But a 30Amp or 300 or 10000A are all shrt circuit situations. The circuit cannot suddenly conduct 1000Amps from 0A in a fraction of a second. It must start from 0, 5, 10, 100.... So practically irrespective of an Overload or Short the MCB is going to trip. Why do you differentiate the 'reason' for the trip ? Are there 2 separate circuits in the MCB to handle the diff reasons ?

Now another fundamental question - i chose a B10 cause i don't want more than 10Amps going through my circuit. But a B type will trip only above 2-4 times 10Amps. Similarly C type will trip 3-5 times of 10Amps. What is the whole point of the B10 rating when it will trip only above 20 to 40amps ? And whatever happens if a 10.5Amp overload happens ?
