Uppsala, Sweden - A charming, historical & lively university town - Home to Uppsala University

This is our (HereWeGo) summer day trip to Uppsala, Sweden vlog from Stockholm. The city of Uppsala is situated just a short 1 hour drive north of Stockholm. Uppsala is a historical university town and is home to one of the best universities in Sweden. It is regularly ranked as one of the top universities in the world. The city also boasts the largest cathedral in Scandinavia, the Uppsala Cathedral or Uppsala Domkyrka. We loved the grand interior of the cathedral and were in awe by its beauty and majesty. Another church that we loved because of its unique external architecture was Helga Trefaldighets kyrka. One would not find such unique & beautiful architecture in Sweden. The city center of Uppsala is dotted with historical buildings and its location along the Fyrisån river makes it even more charming. Sitting outside Uppsala Saluhallen and enjoying the food along the sound of the river was one of the most enjoyable lunches we have enjoyed. The colorful buildings in the old town are a perfect opportunity for getting some instagram worthy shots. Uppsala castle or Uppsala slott is a very beautiful place to roam around. And don't forget to enjoy the amazing view of botanical gardens from the top of the castle.
