I like Marvel's Thor, but this will always be Thor to me.

Imagine if they went to the Asgardian home planet and everybody there (except Thor) were wearing clothes.

"You know, we have satellites and telescopes that can see things like spaceships."
"Our ships have never been detected in orbit around Earth before."
"Huh...alright..."
I fucking miss Stargate, man.

*O'Neill thinking really hard about Roswell*

"...Okay."

What I miss about this show is that it never revealed everything. The Asgard were just as mysterious and interesting in season 10 as they were in season 3.

Colonel o Neil has to be one of the best MC's ever written In a TV show. He wasn't special. He didn't have hidden talents. All he had was a good team behind him, friends and alliances to help out, and a relentless positive attitude.

Jack was overwhelmed at being chosen to represent all of earth in the negotiations with the Ga'ould and I can understand why. After all, he was only a Colonel in the Air Force, just a military man without any political skills. The Asgard really should have chosen a high ranking civilian politician with extensive experience in diplomacy and negotiation to deal with this. Someone like Senator Kinsey. As an experienced politician Senator Kinsey would have ... he would have ... uh ... yeah ... okay Jack, handle it!!!!

How fortunate that General Hammond wasn't sitting at the end of the table like he normally does

I love the "wait, what?" look Daniel makes when Jack says he's a better speaker...

We are the Asgard and our focus on brevity is so extreme that

At the rate I'm watching these clips I might as well pull out my DVD sets and just watch the show over again...

Ah yes, the Stargate of yesteryear. When General Hammond was in command, O'Neil couldn't say five words without four of them heading in a smartass direction, Thor was a new thing, Teal'c was super shiny and Teal'c-hair was still well off the radar, and the Goa'uld were _super_ annoying.

Edit: I whoopsed and spelled O'Neill's name with one L. It's 'O'Neill', with two L's. Fun fact - There's another Colonel O'Neil with only one L, and he has no sense of humor at all.

O'Neil, remarking casually, "If it fails? Total annihilation".

For the Asgard, brevity is the soul of wit. That and being able to teleport wherever the fuck you feel.

And that derails my focus for the day. Why can't we have good things like this anymore?

Must be quite disconcerting for Jack....even though he's already in the military he now knows what it feels like to be drafted.

O'Neill turns to the group. "We all know I'm the wrong choice for this. I did try to get out of it, *you saw it!"*
