you did not tell us exactly what was the most important thing: how to add media which is on an usb external drive which does not show in the list of folders showed by Jellyfin. please teach us.

When using, Jellyfin Media Player, across the top of the selection screen (also during a movie/show) there is a bar that has "Jellyfin Media player minimize fullscreen close".
Is there a way to remove/disable it so that bar doesn't appear?

You seemed to glide over the toughest part. selecting the movie folder. I am struggling there because you have to give rights to Jellyfin to see your folder or create a folder where it can read and you can store your movie files. I am stuck there at this moment trying to get my files to where Jellyfin can read. I tried copying it to Media off the root but my files won't copy there. I tried sharing my username/video folder but Jellyfin still can't see it.

Hi @geek outdoors. Thank you for these instructions. One problem I have is that whenever I pick a folder for my library, I only see a directory /home/{username}/Jellyfin Server Media

So if I place all my media in that folder it works, but I have another local storage drive where everything is stored. What do I need to do to get that directory visible? I suppose it has something to do with the user under which Jellyfin is running, not having permissions. (I used software manager to install the server, not command line)
