Finally! Someone finally came out with an easy to understand video on this!!!! I’ve been looking for a video that could explain this for so long. Thank you!

Nice. The other few videos I watched weren’t clear on what exactly to do so I appreciate how easy this one was to follow.

Very nice tool. Much easier than grabbing my 15 year old Avia Guide to HT DVD out and doing this :)

What does the auto calibration feature on the Sony projectors do? Is it worth adjusting? Maybe make a video on this feature?

Great easy to follow video that I used to calibrate for SDR
Would this work for HDR as well on a JVC projector or would I need a calibration disc that outputs HDR?

Hi can you tell me if you have to adjust brightness first or contrast and also what level should the brightness and contrast be at before calibrating, is it like 50% or does one or the other have to be turned up or down ?

Is it more feasible to use a lux or fc measurement WITH your video here to adjust brightness and contrast? If so what would you want reference levels to read for black 0 lux and white????

When I used this video to adjust the contrast on my Epson 4010, I had to turn down the contrast to 23 to get the bars on the left of the reference to show up. My projector is in my basement with nearly no ambient light. Does that sound like a reasonable contrast setting?

If this is being done on a projector used in various lighting conditions, should this test be run under different viewing modes? For example, adjust settings for a completely dark room, then pick a different preset and run the test under ambient lighting conditions. That way, I have a preset for a completely dark room and a preset for a partially lit room. Does that make any sense?

Do you have to see all the bars clearly on both sides or just the blink and if you do not see the full bar it is ok ?

Hi! Will this video work if I stream it to my chromecast? Will the results work I mean? I have a Benq Th585. I mainly use chromecast to watch HBO via my phone.

Hi I have a Haier TV and when doing your patterns it brought up my brightness from original 45 to about 55, is this not too low ? The contrast was more or less the same than originally that I had.

Can I use this for HDR with the LSP7T?

So I did a similar calibration on my Sony Projector 18 months ago, after getting a new screen, and the end result was the Brightness at 42 and the Contrast at 91. Just for the hell of it I checked last night and the Brightness now needs to be at 49, but the Congrats stayed at 91... I tested with 3 calibration screens just to be sure and they all ended with the same result. So my question is do you think that the increase in the brightness setting is due to my bulb that has around 700 hours more use on it now compared to when I did the calibration 18 months ago???

Why would you point me to another video and not have it as one of the links in your description. Guy

too bad this is utterly useless with an HDR monitor, no matter what you do its just a fully black screen.
