Okay so I haven't watch the whole thing yet but I think DeviantArt having the grey-ish green color is a good choice since it can make art pieces pop out more. Having a colorful bg would just be rather distracting (well, at least at my perspective 😅)

Just for the sake of saying so, posting on all of the platforms mentioned here (and any others of course) is a viable option too! I usually see people recommend only the one or two sites they think best, but once you get used to the feel of posting online, it's just as easy to keep your art updated on a couple of places. I post to 5-10 different sites (depending on the content I'm uploading), so it's definitely do-able!

Amino is an amazing place to post art and get critiques. However, it sucks for selling commissions. Since there is a lot of young people on amino, it is hard to sell commissions.

Instagram is fine in my opinion but it is so hard to be noticed on Instagram, I can't sell commissions there either

I might get amino for my art, and when I get big enough, I’ll go to insta, then maybe YouTube. I really wanna share my art to others :3

I used to have a DA account. I still technically do, it is just deactivated.

Every once in a while, I wonder of if I had stayed on instead.

My two favorites to use for posting art are a separate facebook page for it and DA. They're both amazing options.

Thanks for the ideas. Just curious, what video editing software do you use? I've seen a lot of people make those cartoons of their characters and semi animate them, and I'm just wondering if there's a preferred way of doing that. Thanks!

After deviantart effectively committed suicide by Eclipse, I haven't really found a good replacement for it. A lot of the other art sites seem like they're more aimed at professionals, and I like to post non-serious and sometimes shitpost-y art just for fun :/. I really don't want to post my stuff on Twitter or Tumblr because those sites tend to be drama-filled cesspools
