the thing i dislike about pinterst is that most of the art in my feed is reposted without credit, whereas other social medias like twitter or instagram most of the content comes directly from the artist

ai art has been infesting pinterest lately so artists posting their own art can def help counteract the spread of ai in the website

as a pinterest artist, i see this as a win.

(Replying to description) tumblr is pretty good for art if you don’t get discouraged when your first post doesn’t get that many interactions. Tag your posts properly too. Posts on tumblr don’t die out like on twitter and instagram because of their tag feature. It’s nice 😁😁😁😁😁 Love tumblar

Other than Youtube, Pinterest has also been my go to social media because it’s not as chaotic with people but the ads are ridiculous. Do be aware of reposting being rampant, but I am glad to see more artists on the website I think that’s where I found you!

there’s a lot of art theft but i love how slow it is (although i don’t think people tend to follow artists)

I love the fact that you always give unpopular opinions and try to help people with them, God bless you

You know what will forever bother me? When I was new to social media back in 2013 I used to post my old art on Pinterest and had like 1k followers, but I stupidly deleted my account because I got scared of my parents finding out I had a social media at a young age… will forever regret that decision

I’m a Pinterest artist, and it’s actually crazy hard to gain traction in the early ages. Four views per post. I’d recommend taking advantage of both pins and idea pins (mobile). Interacting with other creators is super important too. Good luck artists!! <3

The amount of times I've found *my own* art reposted onto pinterest; yet I've never even considered posting it there myself lol - this was a great video! Usually I post on tumblr because of the way posts don't tend to die out there, but I may give pinterest a shot :D

The way this is unironically kind of a genius idea

you should really give tumblr a try! i like it most because it's similar to the perks of pinterest you described - my posts take like a year to get completely stale and even then i still get some engagement every once in a while. not only that, you can get thousands of notes with literally zero followers. and contrary to pinterest, there is a HUGE culture on tumblr with reblogging posts and adding comments to it via the tag system! ive never had that much vocal engagement with my art as when i posted on tumblr

reading ur desc, as a tumblr artist i think its pretty great too; as long as u tag ur stuff right ppl will most likely see it!! on my current/new blog ppl are even still reblogging my first posts from july and august! i usually only average like 50-60 notes a post but with all the sweet things ppl put in the rbs it makes up for it tbh

I've started posting my art on Pinterest since quarantine, I still post there to this day bc it's where I feel more comfortable showing my art to everyone

this video single-handedly sold me on pinterest, I've been on the fence over whether I should share my art there so this vid really had me convinced. tq zepn! <3

I was a very active pinterest artist back then and theres an underground community of pinterest artists out there!

They usually come together in a community pin board where they all share their art together there

They're kinda hard to come by since you can only find them being advertised in some art relate posts (where they share links or probably something along the lines of dming them to join or something) but its super fun! I find the community to be quite tight knit there

Some artists even host DTIYs and Art contests there too : )

I only use Pinterest as a reference/inspiration website. It doesn't emphasize engagement enough for me, and like you said, the frequent re-posts without credit. What I want the most for my art is for people to talk about it or ask questions. I find Tumblr is the best for this. I would use Twitter, but that place has become more of a hell site. Everybody is a second from exploding into a pointless drama. Better to stay cozy on Tumblr.

Especially when Google and other search engines have been dying because of them jam-packing their alghorithms with lazy AI results and images, making it impossible to find literally anything, Pinterest and Tumblr are such saviors when it comes to finding art and any image, backgrounds, ideas, etc. I know this is super obvious, but I think nowadays these two apps have been the most artist-friendly and haven't turned into what a lot of other social media platforms have. Great video!! ^_^
