Yeah I've mentioned Spencer Turnbull a couple times as a cheaper alternative to Nathan Eovaldi, with similar 5/6 pitch mixes, both have similar higher ground ball rates, and similar strikeout rates, even similar Whips. I think with the right pitch mix selections to Turnbull, he can be a very effective starting pitcher at the back of the Braves rotation, maybe getting into that 130 to 140 inning area for next year, while allowing maybe some of the Braves prospects like a Waldrep, Smith-Shawver, Hackenberg, Braun, Elder, or others to maybe fill in for him down the stretch to help control his innings. As for Paul DeJong, you could platoon him and Arcia, as DeJong actually has reverse splits for his career as he hits right handers better than left handers by a nice margin, and allow Arcia to face left handed pitchers.

I'm 73 years old. I have been a Braves fan since mid-season 1965. I have been a die hard Atlanta Braves fan since 1966. And no matter who the owner, the Atlanta Braves have never spent real money. Just a lot of lateral trades hoping they get lucky. But that said, I will always be a huge Atlanta Braves fan. Go Braves!

Hye-seong Kim is a very interesting and intriguing player, unfortunately I doubt we sign him due to AA’s lack of willingness/ability to sign or scout any players out of Asia (which is generally my only complaint when it comes to AA). I think Kim would be a breath of fresh air as a speedy slap hitter with good defense, and is definitely a clear upgrade over Arcia. Also I doubt he would command a large contract and is relatively young.

What's your thoughts on Sandy Alcantara?

I would maybe add Jeff Hoffman as my starter in the 20 million. He wants to start and if not he can take Holmes spot and let Holmes be the 5th starter. Could be a bullpen upgrade or next Lopez.

Do you think we should get Gavin Lux? And we can get him at shortstop. The Dodgers want to get rid of him they just got to Edmond and now they have one more one less need for them.

Have no problem bringing back Minter-Actually hoping that they do re-sign
However, don't feel comfortable moving into closer
Why not try to extend Iggy?

Pretty obvious they are shedding payroll to stay away from next luxury tax penalty this season, unfortunately - but it just is what it is.

Yeah, but Gavin’s supposed to be making from the Dodgers 2.3 million

Do they really need another mid to late 30’s something pitcher in the mix. There are some good younger guys out there I think are better.
