If Braves want to stay under the luxury tax, and the need is very heavy for the rotation, it makes a lot of sense to try anything possible to trade for Crochet or a Montgomery trade with AZ paying a substantial amount of the salary.

I was hoping that Laurano would be tendered but they may be counting on his addition later. Maybe?

Ozzie, imo, is not an OBP guy but an RBI guy. Him batting 5th/6th is optimal for what he does best at the plate.

I'm guessing they acquire a mid rotation starter and hope someone in AAA steps up as the 5th until Strider returns. Setup reliever/backup closer is a must.
Based on history, we should see some sort of addition(s) by mid December after the Winter meetings, possibly before Thursday? 🤞

Hopefully this cost-cutting will lead to a big deal later in the offseason.

I’m assuming the name of the first player was accidentally cut in editing…
Who did you name first?
Thanks!!

Kikuchi signs with Angels… was hoping he would’ve been the Braves #5

Here's the thing, if you want to win you're going to have to get lucky. I'd go with getting lucky with the pitching staff. I'd rather the braves had a chance of going 500 but a small chance of them making a deep playoff run vs another season like 2024.

Or ha-seong Kim, someone with a consistent 2 or more war, year on year

I agree. SP & RP r more important than LF or SS. ‘24 was more of an anomaly than ‘23 for this offense.

The angels non tendered Patrick Sandoval who should be really cheap for the future because he’s missing half of 2025 I think

Treating Arcia like he wasnt a all star starter last year is crazy. Yes his bat isnt the best but he can still give us a .275 with his stella defense.

I wish we could get a cheaper deal or trade for SP spot and obtain an elite consistent bat, like an Adames…… aj smith shawver can have a spot, to get you by until strider is back!! Like we saw this year you can have the 3rd best era in the league and still lose if you can’t score runs
