When he beats the Mets in the show it's going to be epic.

Call me crazy but I think he’s going to start declining. (Not just health wise). He looked really hittable this season.

5/185 with a sixth year option to take it to 6/222 I think

Off to Texas. Someone else’s worry. BTW upon his 22 return he wasn’t quite the same pitcher.

Starting every 5 days is a bit archaic if you ask me. You need guys like this, Verlander, Strasburg etc in the postseason when it matters most. Gotta manage him better and pitchers get paid too much IMO. You can’t break the bank and not play. Jacob should and knows this. If you’re getting paid, you gotta play man. Otherwise, if you know you’re hurt or capable, you don’t take the money. It’s not like you gotta scam and lie to make millions. He’s still gonna make millions. You have to justify the money or else he’s playing with his career image and status as a HOF.

He kept breaking down because he kept trying to throw the ball 105 mph! He’s a Tommy John surgery waiting to happen. Mets fan here. Glad that they didn’t sign him. Rodon from the Giants would be a much better signing for the Mets, because he is healthier and younger.

Whoever gives him the most money obviously, Either he stay with the Mets or he’ll go to who pays him the most. Syndergaard said he doesn’t see him leaving the Mets, They want to bring back Nimmo more then deGrom. Also Carlos Rodón is a pitcher the Mets want. Steve Cohen has plenty of money to sign them.

Can't believe that he didn't care about winning.

Why not have him start learning to be a closer

Even as a braves fan, I think deGrom was the man...but spending big money on him is idiotic. He should get a one year deal and see if he can stay on the field.

Climate control in texas and pitching inside could help. Not pitching in new york in the cold to start and end the season will help

One year contracts until he pitches a full season. No one in their right mind is going to pay big bucks for a partial season. You can gamble on a youngsters for that amount of work and save a ton of money. He's 35 and not getting any younger. He opted out and now he's hoping for a whale.
