It depends. Sometimes por que turns into pol que, but it also can be poh que where the h is breathy depending on what part of the island the person is from. It all depends on if you’re from the campo, the ciudad or which town you’re in.

You can just forget the r’s. It sounds too contrived with the I. But speak with the native speakers and you’ll get the hang of the aspirations and even the nuanced pronunciations like hueno instead of bueno. Different barrios have different slang too. It’s really beautiful and I love my culture.

I am Puerto Rican and I never heard anyone in family turn R to L's . Also Guagua is not slang language is regional bus autobús, Argentina + ómnibus, Bolivia= Colectivo, Colombia +bus, buseta, colectivo Costa Rica = bus, lata Cuba, Dominican republic, Puerto Rico = Guagua Mexico = Camión and so on

Just a quick note. when you’re explaining how Puerto Ricans speak it’s more respectful to say ‘in place of’ rather than ‘instead of.’ ‘Instead of’ can sound like the way we say it is wrong, but it’s just a dialect difference, not a mistake.
