They fired the QB coach, without talking o Rodgers, Rodgers came out and said he like Kudrow, so they cut him, Jordy Nelson said he'd come back for minimum last year, packers said no. So the front office did everything possible to piss Rodgers off.

I think to add to the slight of Rodgers being out of the loop with his own future with the Packers is that: if the Packers really were done with him before the 2019 season they did not give Rodgers the opportunity to "do things the right way".

He probably wanted to honor the team and let both parties move on to better pastures. He said many times he wanted to retire a Packer, but worst come to worst he felt that he at least deserved to be sent off in the right way (a la Brady or Peyton Manning).

The back pedal by the organization is literally spelling out "we care more about winning with you as a pawn, rather than what you've done for this organization and sport as a human being."
