How to Install an AR-15 BCG and Charging Handle

People who are struggling as I was. Your bolt inside the carrier needs to be fully extended. Also, pull out the charging handle so the gas key can slide it, drop both together.

Great video. Since I'm a newbie, had issues until I realize that the cam pin has to be turned to get the bolt back in. A suggestion would be to point this out for others. One learns most with burned marks on their butts!

Just getting into Ar's. Grabbed two complete rifles by Sig and only got to mount optics and slings on them. Decided to also grab up a lower and upper from Palmetto State as the price is great and figure it would give me some experience placing together. Waiting on lower to arrive and had the spare red dot from one of the Sigs (mounted a lpvo on that) along with mbus iron. Removed charging hand and bca. Was having slight difficulty getting back in. The slight angle pointed out in video was the little trick needed. Thanks.

Ordered an upper for an AR-10 build that was the only one that came with out the charging handle and bolt carrier group. Just received the ordered parts, looked at this for reference and popped it in within a minute. Thanks for the reference 🙂

My Charging handle was milspec and my lower was an Aero precision 10.5" AR15. I thought I knew how to do this since I had done it before. Well my charging handle was not rising up into the groove and when I pulled it out the upper reciever was leaving indents on the Charging handle. The video gave me the confidence to keep trying and I was going to put a file to it where i saw the indents but after a few tries and a little push it rose up and we got it put together.

Thankyou! I was being a dumbass again and forgot I needed to rotate that tab on the top of the bcg... couldn't figure out why it wouldn't go in. Went in perfectly afterwards lol

somehow i had the bolt back like it should be, cam pin in place, but didn't realize for wayyy too long that the whole bcg was backwards. thanks for the help lol

There is likes a grabbing pivot on the upper so when inserting it put the charging handles nudge after that and the push up and forward
