How to Book United Flights with Capital One Miles (Turkish Airlines Tutorial)

Your complete guide on how to use Capital One miles to book a United Flight with Turkish Miles and Smiles. This same process also applies if you're using Citi or Bilt Points!

***Turkish Airlines recently announced new award charts for award bookings. The price for one-way US flights on United flights is rising from 7,500 to 10,000 which could be worse, but still hurts. There are a lot of international flight devaluations which are a bit more painful. Additionally, they will be charging flights per segment now so connecting flights will be more expensive. It was unclear to me if that included flights within the US.
You can still book flights at the current rates until Feb 15th.

This is so great and helpful as we "attempt" to use Cap One miles for flights from DC to Honolulu using Miles and Smiles. The thing I'm not seeing on PointsYeah is Miles and Smiles as an option. When I get to Turkish Airlines, I get "No seats available" for every flight, no matter the day or time. Will keep trying. Thanks again, Michael.
