How to Prepare your Nintendo Switch for RESALE / Factory Reset

Hi, if you decide you want to sell your Nintendo Switch but are worried that the new owner might have access to your information, then by watching this video you will see that it is easy to wipe all your data.
By doing a factory reset you are returning the Nintendo Switch to the same state it was in when it left the factory (apart from it will still keep the current version of system software).

I sold mine too, I needed the money. I also need to focus on more productive things on my life rather than video games. People in general just fail to see how expensive gaming is. Especially if you're the common young adult, you're limited on money, some games, Nintendo games in particular don't go down in price often. And besides, Nintendo is known for re-releasing iterations of the same console, if I want another one I can get another one. I had over 15 games and got $550. I needed that money for something important. I liked the console, but it needs more in order to be excellent. Backup saves and more than bare bones online are what we need. I already 100% completed Mario Odyssey and almost BOTW. I love Xenoblade 2, best game on the system, but I can't sink time into RPGs that much anymore.. I could just watch the entire story on youtube if I need to.

So yeah people have reasons for selling their games. People also play video games too much. Go do some other things in life before you end up regretting it on your death bed.

Tip: when booting the switch hold volume up and volume down to get into a recovery mode. There is an option here to reset

Giving it to my little brother, I have my switch but bought this one to reset for him, I've tested it and now I want to reset it so he can enjoy the first boot up screen ^_^
