Asking the voice how many girls they’re talking to, instantly made me laugh cause I just knew where they were going with this.

I almost spit out my drink at the "you just gotta get them to ghost you, most voices are fuckboys" I also had voices for several years and I legitimately thought they were real people. For me a combination of therapy and cutting back on the zaza helped me put a stop to it.

Be careful when you smoke the grass because of how potent it is now an days you can easily get hallucinations even if you're not actively high

I had 2 psych episodes out of the blue and the voices were so incredibly nice to me and loving. You always hear in media that voices are mean and tell you to unalive yourself, but mine turned out to be lovely.

I remember asking my doc what he meant by “do you hear voices” and I said yeah all the time but it’s me, and we had a very serious discussion, turns out they mean a different “not you” voice…

I had a voice in my head sophomore year of high school. Her name was Claudia. She was pretty chill. She eventually went away after a couple of months.

I have visual hallucinations when in the depths of really bad episodes. It was jarring to see “major depression with psychotic features” as the official diagnosis and just as jarring when I learned how common it is to have hallucinations/psychotic features because I don’t ever hear it talked about. Thanks for making this!

When the voice said you will perish, instead he meant you will go to Paris.
Voice in head taking care of you and suggesting a trip to clear your mind.

Had it happen a few years back, and I was extra concerned because I was sleeping well and relatively stress free.
Oh, and schizophrenia runs in my family, of course. Thank god the voices haven't returned.
Most memorably, I had one lady voice whisper to the other voices, "Shh... he'll hear us...", and I had another lady voice who was unexpectedly sweet and tender in singing 'You Really Got A Hold On Me' to me.

Sometimes it's voices but mostly it is thoughts triggered by the surfacing of feelings which have been nagging at the background of my conscious since waking up on the previous morning

Lack of sleep and overcaffinatiom combine to make auditory hallucinations. I know because it happened oops

I have PTSD and I suffered with severe horrible mood congruent auditory hallucinations for almost 7 years. In the past two years I discovered that simply journalling, long hand for three pages each day helped release them. If I stay regular with my journalling practice each morning I get to go through my day with no auditory hallucinations and a sense of clarity. I hope this helps anyone who needs to hear it. There is hope.

Hello Anna - I'd like to say that you're soo f'ing hilarious! Yes, I believe we all do hear voices more than we admit - even to ourself; and this voice could be anyone including ourself! I soo admire how you turn something dark/negative/sad/scary into a meaningful message specially delivered wrapped in humor! Please keep doing what you're doing! You DO good service to the community's mental health in a soo special way!!

I'm relieved to hear this actally, my PTSD was kicked off by an episode full of auditory hallucinations and it scared the living sh*t out of me. I have since been receiving great trauma care and are since very stable and healthy and it never happened again but hearing that it's more common kinda helped not stigmatising myself for my experience. Thank you. Seriously.

Still worried about BetterHelp's data resale practices even if they should be a lot better about it now, but the sketch itself is hilarious!

bo i swear she has a point with asking them to stay because not fearing it and being able to trust yourself if it happens really makes it better as someone with stress and cptsd and had it rlly bad at a peak of my depression

Thank you for talking about how common this can be. People believe really bad stereotypes of what it means to have auditory hallucinations.
