Braiding Sweetgrass is a beautiful book and the author narrates it so beautifully. One of my favorites

GOD is the greatest Teacher and HE is an Expert in ALL things. HE uses the plants, animals and sometimes, each other to teach with. ❤️

You are living the dream I dream. I studied, experimented but this is a big one, my house is too small for all my stuff. It kind of dampens everything I want to do when I have to keep herbs, glassware, hardware in my room and spread throughout the house. Im salivating looking behind you😞 I’ll live vicariously through you for now. Thank you for sharing what you know

You are so organized!!! Can't say my stash looks like that. I agree on the propolis. One of my favorites. I have damaged lungs and the only thing I found that gets the stuck stuff out of my lungs is Osha and Lobelia. I have hacked up huge mucous plugs. Discovered that with my dad and his copd and learned quickly how amazing that little blend was. It works fast. They have to be mixed together for it to have the best effects. At least in my experience. Either alone doesn't cut it it for me. I have seen this help others too with serious pneumonia the past few years. Kept a few people out of the hospital. But this is a fantastic blend. some of my favorite remedies. Looks like we might have studied from the some of the same teachers who are a bit ore old schooled. 🙂 I am laughing tho. You are so specific with measuring. I eyeball everything and make a mess usually. haha! And I love Lobelia. Next to Osha it is probably one of my favorite herbs. 🙂 Have to say tho I am a super low doser. Started off with about 6 drops per dose; this was my dose for probably around 25 years; but over the past 5 years or so, I got down to one under the tongue. Always works. Even with pain herbs which surprised me. Matt Wood has always been one of my favorite teachers yet I could never quite grasp the one drop dose; I hovered around 6-8; but after years I finally moved in that direction. Always amazes me how well that works. People are always shocked. I love it because it saves so much time, money and resources. I have even been known to make some homeopathic like dilutions that have also worked great. I can't say homeopathic because I don't do the whole dilution process; I just put a drop in water; and then take tiny doses of that. Always trying to see what I can get away with. Natural medicine is simply amazing. Loved this video.💜

I’m fairly new to the Herbalism walk and am just starting to learn all of the benefits and uses for herbs. As a Christian who loves knowledge and is learning this more out of a desire to be a better steward of my body (and let’s face it, medicine is expensive nowadays), I seriously appreciate how informative your videos are! I appreciate that you and your mom back up what you do with research and learning! Your herbalism library has inspired me to start collecting at least one book on some aspect of self-sustainability with every paycheck for my own budding library!

Maybe I haven’t gotten too far into my own books and research yet, but I haven’t really seen this concept of tincture mixing, even though it makes so much sense! You do quite a number of videos on teas and the herbs you use, but could you do a video about your process of choosing different tinctures to mix together and what properties you look for for when you make them? Maybe along with some of your staple tinctures (whether single herb or mixtures) that you find useful to keep on hand at all times for various uses?

I think it would be super helpful for others like myself who are just starting our own home apothecaries but might be on a tighter budget and have to be a bit more selective as we start out.

Thank you to you and your mom for always being so informative in your videos! They are beyond helpful!

I love the tea/tincture combo! I've been planning on trying to come up with a good tincture for inflammation/thyroid issues for my sister and myself, and I really love the idea of a tea base that you add a tincture to. Love your channel!!

Have been reading the books you and your mother suggested and I'm finding a whole new world. This is all so fascinating and so deep. But you make it very approachable. Thank you again for all the information and help. Always looking forward to your next vlog. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty and learn something old.🌿

Can you provide a list of the herbal tinctures you used in this blend? Do you also have a source of tincture recipes that you recommend?
