Passionflower: calms the brain chatter, anxiety
Nettle: antihistamine, allergy-relief, sinus headaches
Echinacea:immune boosting, blood purifying, best used before infection as a preventative in anticipation of entering a contagious time
Elderberry with ginger: antiviral, flu relief, shortens illness time.
Bitters: helps digestion: made from bitter herbs (dandelion, turmeric, chamomile, peppermint etc) that stimulate bile flow, decrease gas, helps regulate sugar cravings etc. taken at every meal before or after

2-3 dropfuls 2-3 times a day usually is a good dosage

I’m packing tea bags while watching as Christmas presents for loved ones and coworkers. Linden, mullein and nettle with roses. Smells lovely!😊

Kristen, you "Made my Day" My testimony: I had an idiopathic intestinal spasm, soooo painful that dying was a viable option, hospitalized three times. Had a colonoscopy to NO avail, never again, it was a pain in the ....s. Did a lobelia tincture, dozed off within minutes; napped for two hours, up splitting firewood with a maul. Large AMEN

I would love a tutorial on how to make tinctures. I think they would be great to have in my medicine cabinet. I would also be interested in tinctures for sleep, anemia and boosting immunity.

I started growing my own elderberry. I leaned that for European elderberry (sambucus nigra) you need two different cultivars to cross pollinate each other. I use “Black Beauty” and “Black Lace” planted about 6-8 feet from each other. I had my best harvests begin after doing this.

I appreciate this topic. I am not an herbalist ( there's not genuine certification in the US anyway) I have made several types. The BEST herbs to use are LOCAL your body does well with what grows around you, just like your own home raised produce. Also I am finding sources of seeds of herbs to grow.

I am so thankful for Bitters helping my stomach and gallbladder issues. I am using one that has Wormwood (a game changer on its own too) Angelica, Calamus, Orange peel, Rose flower, rose hip, burdock, ginger, dandelion, fennel, chamomile, Oregon grape, and licorice. I take it straight as gross as it is but I agree with you that everyone should be taking it to improve their overall health. It's been 3 months without any episodes and no more meds the doctor keeps giving me that don't help.

I can fully vouch for nettle tea and tincture. I have/had that really bad react to mosquito bites, I started drinking nettle tea and not only do I now get bitten less frequently but when I do I don't have a huge allergic reaction. I made a nettle tincture and that is also very good used topically to reduce the itch of a bite.
And my hay fever is much better too, though some of that is attributed to using a neti pot with a drop of rosemary oil in every other night.
Herbs for healing. All the way! I could go on but I'll leave it there 😄

Finally someone that is being truthful about using a tincture it's true that I want to use the tincture because it is fast and I don't want to take time to drink a cup of tea that might make me sick because I can't keep food down I'm not just want to take a tincture and go back to sleep I just want truth and I also appreciate that thank you so much

Just this year I have been studying herbs and their uses. Grandma treated us with some of her remedies . We have passion flower vines and dandelions in our yard. I am so thankful for this information.

There are many tinctures that are alcohol free. You can also make your own with apple cider vinegar!

Thanks to you my knowledge of Tinctures has exploded. Thank God our Creator and Savior for you little sister. Thank you for sharing this invaluable knowledge with this old Grandma. Bravo! Less reason to Trust pharmaceuticals, medicos and their dangerous chemical compounds. We can make His teas and get better a helluva lot faster than running to the dr or pediatrician.

I put alcohol tinctures in a bit of hot water, cool some and drink. That takes the alcohol out. Idk if there are certain herb we should not do it with to maintain integrity. Something to consider -If you are an alcoholic it is possible that The smell could be triggering.

I am working toward having medicinal plants on my property and I really enjoy your presentations. I would enjoy a class on tinctures very much. My lack of faith in traditional medicine has led me to study herbal remedies and I am very excited to take your upcoming course. Thanks for this wonderful information!
