Love Chinese myths. I really enjoy the Taoist mythology. As far as classics go, my favorite Chinese classic is called the Water Margin (also known as Outlaws of the Marsh, or All Men are Brothers). It's about the Wu Xia culture--basically the martial arts culture epitomized by the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It tells the story of the 108 outlaws. Fun stuff!

i'm not sure if your into this but, there are two manga's (comics) that retell epic stories of china:
1.The Ravages Of Time
which is a retelling of "romance of the Three Kingdoms"




2.kingdom
which is about warring states

“Monkey” has a name. His name is Sun Wukong. He’s not just a powerful monkey, he’s known as the Monkey King. Journey To The West is about him reaching enlightenment (but it’s debatable if he is the main-main character).
