Here's our take on the NBA's greatest of all time at every position. Disagree with out picks? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

When people are arguing the NBA GOAT debate, there is always a clash and difference in opinions. Different basketball rules, different teammates and competition, and many other factors make any GOAT equation extremely complicated to solve. It’s hard to compare eras, and it’s hard to compare players that play different positions. So, we decided to go around that problem, and made a list of greatest players - for all five positions in basketball.

“John Stockton was an above average shooter.”

John Stockton is #18 all time in career true shooting percentage, only one tenth of one percent behind James Harden.

He also #51 in all time career effective field goal percentage, a hundredth of a percent better than Kevin Durant.

Of course Curry is #5 and #13, but still. He was a lot better than above average

Point Guard: Earvin (Magic) Johnson
Shooting Guard: Michael Air Jordan
Small Forward: Larry Bird
Power Forward: Tim Duncan
Center: Kareem Abdul-Jabar

Center is tough because you have Shaq who is the most dominant, Wilt who is the most athletic and polarizing with Hakeem Olajuwon as probably best 2-way center. However, Kareem was so unstoppable that the league decided to implement a no-dunking rule for 9 seasons to make it more "fair" for others and probably cost him several thousand points.

I'll always go with The Dream as the best center I ever saw play. Just so damn good all around.

I was raised in the 60's and 70's. During that time, it was PG- Oscar Robertson, SG- Jerry West, SF- Elgin Baylor, PF- Bob Petitt, C- Wilt or Russell, with Kareem closing the gap. As of more recently, I know everyone is impressed with LeBron's physical gifts, but Larry Bird has been overlooked before.

Curry’s game will age well I think because he doesn’t rely on athleticism
