Do you have to have an LLC to get an EIN#?

I thing an LLC cost about $100. And the bank can set you us an EIN# if you want to set up a business account...but I don't now if it's recommended.

Flyers with phone numbers be sure to put both the phone number and the business (painter for hire) on pull off tabs. Or get a business card to leave with the people you solicit.

Sole proprietorship is a lot cheaper and hiring “helpers” for jobs but honestly help sucks nowadays so I just do it myself. Yea it takes longer but there’s no f@$k ups. Never had to deal with insurance claims bc I pick customers with discernment get everything in writing and have the clients I do hire sign their lives away with a bulletproof contract. Insurance is a ripoff and employees are a liability.

The fact that you have no PPE says a lot about your company. I was a painter for years would never paint without a mask or a tyvek suit even if you are spraying water base or alkyd. Very unprofessional
