Basic Acrylic Painting Techniques for Beginners

This video will demonstrate what a wash is and why I like to use one. I will also explain the difference between wet on dry and wet on wet. I will demonstrate several ways to blend acrylic paint and how to get a smooth, crisp edge.

Materials:
Cold press watercolor paper
Liquitex Basics acrylic paint in primary blue, primary yellow, primary red and white
Big utility paint brush (from a hardware store)
#4 or similar size flat paint brush
Cup of water
Paper towels
Optional: Liquitex glazing medium (you can also use water)

Thank you for making this video. I'm a high school senior, and our art teacher left at the end of last year. Due to the shortage of teachers, they've been having our music teacher teach us. We've mostly been doing small craft projects meant for elementary schoolers. Due to this, my art skills have been stagnating and my enjoyment for the subject as a whole has decreased. I tried getting a crisp edge but I'm getting the texture of the canvas preventing it being as sharp as I'd like. Do I need to prime the canvas a few times, if so what would you suggest. Thanks!

Although it says “for beginners”, there is nothing in this video that tells me how to use the techniques she is rushing through. She assumes I know various terms she is using.
No help here.
