2020 Lexus RX 350 vs RX 350 L Rear Cargo Room Comparison
Показать описание
While I was waiting to pick up my LC from the Atlanta Auto Show, I briefly compared the 2020 Lexus RX 350 L to a RX 350 in regards to rear cargo room. It's pretty clear the L offers more cargo room when the seats are dropped down. Again you can see how easy it is to drop down the rear seats in the L. Those rear seats are IMO, best for children.
When the RX L has all 7 seats up, there is about 6 cubic feet or room. Enough for carry on bags/duffel bags. When the RX L has the 2 seats in the back down, it offers about 2 more cubic feet of room vs a regular RX. However It feels larger than that. I've always felt that those numbers reported for cars don't accurately show space and you really need to see things for yourself before making a buying decision if cargo room is important.
For those wondering about our personal thoughts. My wife loved her loaded 2016 RX 350 F-Sport. The L does not offer a F-Sport. She has now bought 3 F-Sport vehicles. She has mentioned the extra 7 seats. I think if a F-Sport was offered, it might have been in the garage instead of her ES 350 F-Sport. I do have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by the cargo room in her RX F-Sport so a bit more room doesn't hurt. For those not interested in an F-Sport, I think the 450h is the way to go. Lexus dropped the price a couple of years ago and I think its one of the most compelling buys at 60 grand with some options since you get a proven 30 MPG.
