Working Tugboat - Moving a freighter

Tugboat getting ready to move a disabled freighter that has a broken propeller shaft. When the shaft broke, it shot the propeller into the hull of the ship, breaking the seals and thus allowing sea water into the engine room. The freighter has been sitting at Pier B in Victoria BC since early December 2022 waiting for its turn in the nearby drydock to be repaired.

Today, its turn in drydock opened up and the tugboats all gathered around to safely maneuver it from the pier, across the harbour, over to the drydock. the choreography and skill of all of the tugboat captains, and tugboat deckhands is awesome to watch! The marine pilot would be on the bridge of the freighter giving instructions to all the tugboats to keep the freighter in control while crossing.
