How to Partition a Solid State Drive (SSD) or Hard Drive in Windows 10

In this video we will walk through the steps on how to create two partitions on a solid state drive (SSD). We also show you how to delete a partition. Traditionally, partitioning a large hard drive into smaller sections would net you a slight bump in read or write performance. Although this doesn't hold true with solid state drives, partitioning can still be used to keep your files organized.

What about for a m.2 nvme gen 4.0pcie SSD if you just have 1 single drive in your computer? you install your OS and how do you partition the rest of it for storage and games

Just a quick question how do you merge the partitioned disk back? Like is it ok to uninstall the second disk space in your case part 2?😁

Hey man thank you for the video, my question is how to create an unallocated space first? I got 1TB SSD but it came with only 15 MB of unallocated empty space.

Very informative video, thank you! Quick question: I am building my first PC and I plan on using just one 500GB m.2 SSD for now, should I create a separate partition as a boot for windows? If so, how many GB would you recommend I make it (I'm assuming what I'm asking would be the C: drive?). Any insight would be super helpful!

hey man, thanks alot for sharing your knowledge, honestly i need your help, i cloned my 1TB old Hdd to a new 1 TB ssd using a free program called AOMEI backupper, the hdd had two local disc (C and D) now after the clone windows and apps running fine but there is an additional local drive called ( I ) with 478 MB space that is empty but it shows 435 MB used on properties, so i wanted to know what is this for ?! actually i have to mention i enabled an option called SSD Alignment which was highly recommended for this process
