Jordan Peterson VS Cathy Newman was a highly anticipated debate.

If you were expecting some a fiery debate, you got it.
If you were expecting a high level, intelligent exchange, you would have been sorely disappointed.

In the end, it wasn't a debate and it wasn't even a contest.
Jordan Peterson was too good and Cathy Newman so poor that she ended up embarrassing herself.

Cathy Newman was at the level of a kindergarten debating brawl.

Also, the two had a totally different approach to the debate.
Cathy Newman had a belligerent, "me VS you", "win-lose" approach. Jordan Peterson had a very neutral stance.
He talked facts and shared his opinion, without in any way wanting to crush Newman -albeit, in the end, he did-.

Great video analysis. It’s obvious how she is trying to label Jordan as a villain (she would call it “trying to get it straight”), but Jordan is holding his ground. This is where I need to be in all of my dealings, and I tend to encounter people like this.

She is making straw man arguments ie. trying to reframe an opposing position into a different/more extreme version and then trying to argue against that. Like trying to argue against an imaginary scarecrow. He reacted to it well

Great analysis. Peterson is a beast, you are right. Has anyone mentioned the use of the word 'retarded'? That wouldn't be acceptable in most social circles, certainly not on TV. I can appreciate there may have been a time when it was and, of course, you are multi-lingual so it may be a translation you may not be fully aware of. Great job on the video.
