Thank you for this Richard, your videos are so helpful. I have my test in a few days and was thinking during the night about the approach speed to roundabouts and junctions (when it’s 3am you start overthinking things that you’ve done absolutely fine so many times!) and then I woke up to this in my notifications!

I watched the whole video and I think he is driving more carefully than other delivery drivers. Even though he slightly failed the test, he was confident and felt safe.

I find it difficult that making these decisions can never account for cars doing u-turns at roundabouts, which is rare but does happen. You can assume the car signalling right from the first exit is turning off, but they would actually end up blocking you can causing a collision if you're unlucky. Most people at roundabouts seem to just accept this risk but it's always in the back of my mind in lessons

I got a friend who is a bit of a boy racer, ain’t bad by itself imo but of course he likes to carry speed and he’s good on the brakes, one day he had to slam the brakes at a roundabout and got rear ended, the insurance companies sides blamed the person behind but to this day I am adamant with him that it was partly his fault, he wasn’t considering who was behind him, sometimes people lock on to the car in front and even though they’re leaving space, if they trust the car in front they will follow, I know it isn’t right but imo you have to take some degree of responsibility, especially given it could be a young driver, or an old driver, etc

See so many people not look until they have already stopped at the line.

Why wear a high vis vest inside the car? Are you trying to make sure people know there’s a passenger?
