One really beautiful thing is that when you gave him a release at both trot and canter, he stayed in perfect self-carriage. That's absolute proof of how correct his training is. If you look at a zillion dressage videos you see 90% of their horses are leaning on the reins heavily for support--if you cut the reins, they'd be in the dirt. Also, if the corner of the horse's mouth/lips are drawn back under severe pressure that's just not what correct training is supposed to produce. All these things take time and patience, not what modern sport calls for. So it produces evidence of incorrect training e.g., hollow back, leaning on the rider's hands, or going behind the bit to produce a "frame". Rearing is another example in dressage horses hoping to escape the pain they are feeling from being forced to produce movements they can't do or are not ready for.

In 50 years of dressage riding, I have never seen anyone who sits on the horse as cleanly and correctly as Matt Harnacke, and the aids are hardly recognizable and visible. Unfortunately, our Germans cannot keep up either. Matt can do it!!!👍👍🐴🐴🐴👍👍

He is truly ur reflection as his person, his voice to the world ...I saw the video with the psychic and see more and more of you every time I see you ride him he says so much more for u and ur connection it radiates from the 2of u!!! I loved a horse like this not long ago for his lifetime and mine..I would not change my moments and wish I had more and will probably never find a love to compare ever across the spectrum !!
