The total lunar eclipse, which causes the moon to appear red, will be completely visible over most of North and South America and parts of Africa and Europe.

During a lunar eclipse, Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, blocking the sunlight falling on the Moon.

I actually saw it! Im from the Netherlands and it was around 7/8 pm at night i didnt know there was a red moon but it was beautiful it didnt last long. Sadly I couldn’t take a high quality picture because you cant take pictures of it for some reason.

This happened to me on my way to my hometown Dallas Texas I came back from Mexico and stopped at a wingstop in McAllen

It makes it red because when the sunlight scatters up the colors red is the least scatter and it gets to the moon.

Hello? The maximum eclipse is 04:11 UTC, which is 9:11am EST. The sun is up and the earth is between the sun and moon. Which means the moon is probably over Asia. So, how were we to "see" this eclipse that is occurring on the other side of the Earth?
The eclipse was Sun. May 15, 8:32 p.m.
