DIY a bubbling garden fountain for $15! Here's how...

Everyone loves a water feature in the garden, We conjure the ambiance of a lovely restaurant or country club - right out the patio door. We'll give you the sound of a babbling brook for as little as 13 bucks. A new garden gadget caught our eye that promises to make a porch planter pot into a bubbling water feature - no plumbing or electricity required! It sounds well and good, but it needed a real life test.

They demonstrated exactly what I don't like about those little solar fountain gadgets. When the water runs low, and it will every day, the fountain stops working, and if the water is totally gone, it will be left making a grinding sound. Too high maintenance.

You dont have to add the attachments.... then the water wont spray but more like just bubble.... i mean if you want to make a fountain thats mostly just to have water for pollinators in a garden or whatever. if you want it spraying you need either a bigger container or place rocks strategically so the fountain bit stays in the center.

Yet you didn't actually show how it was made. You only told about the fountain being solar. Along with solar fountains are nothing new, they have been around for years.

First of all, the fountain needs to be stabilized so it doesn't move around it is made to go in a pool not a pot. Once you do that you will not be losing water except by evaporation. You can stabilize the fountain. Also if you only put the funnel attachment on and not the holed spray it will bubble and not shoot up so far.

You just forgot to put sticks around the fountain than keep in just one spot ! I have being use this in many ways it is really easy! ! If you don’t put sticks around thats why has foam under the disk 😂😂 !

You are doing a lousy demonstration and are making folks NOT want these pumps. You should maybe read the directions. Those attachments are for a large area water source. Like a pond. Attach straws along the edge of the pump to keep it from floating around the bowl. Making you lose your water. You dont want that attachment for that size bowl. I have used these for years and NEVER watched it. I change the water every other day or so. I clean the pump periodically. The water is supposed to recycle not water plants. Unless you have the plants in the water (water plants)
