How to Make a Ceramic Pot Fountain for a Patio

Most tutorials of ceramic pot fountains include an in-ground reservoir. But if you’d like a fountain for your patio where that’s not possible, you can use a larger pot as the reservoir. No digging required!

Update: We’ve had issues with our fountain leaking through the bottom drainage hole and the porous unglazed bottom. We’ve since covered the hole with a layer of marine sealant and the bottom with Flex Seal spray. Happy crafting!

- We also purchased 1/2-inch tubing to connect to the pump.

I can't count the water feature videos I've watched now and this one caused me to comment. First, love the asthetics, colors, and sample of the sound the feature makes. That's an important part of the sell that some videos miss. 2 questions: does the large pot set well enough flush on the patio sitting on the cord and how often do you find yourself replacing the water? I live in Southern California so water will be evaporating more often for me I imagine. Great video and your kiddo's narration is adorable! 🥰
