iPhone Screen Burn-In - Is It a Problem?

preview_player
Показать описание
iPhones that use OLED displays such as the iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max are all potentially prone to screen burn-in or ghosting of the image on the iPhone display. In this video I show you an iPhone X that has been used ever since the release date a few years ago and see if it has burn-in. I also show you the iPhone 11 Pro Max as well. #iPhone #apple #iphone11pro

Have you noticed any changes or burn-in on your OLED display? iPhone LCD displays should not have this issue, so it should only affect iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max if you have it at all. Thanks for watching!

Little heads up, LCDs do not suffer the same type of burn-in as OLEDS. They suffer from “image retention” that can be fixed. By “waking” the screen up with a white screen for an hour, it’ll remove the image retention from the LCD. Keep in mind, this does not resolve burn-in on OLED.

I do Uber sometimes and one day I’ve noticed that Uber driver status bar got burned in. I showed to Apple and they replaced my screen for free. I have iPhone X

I am using my iPhone X heavily 3 years now - I don’t have any signs for burn in.
I am actually suprised how well OLED works on Smartphones 👍🏼

No burn in here, XS Max. I do keep my iPhone around 50% brightness usually.

I have had my XS Max for 6 months and have used it heavily and had brightness up to 100% on a lot of occasions. I’m glad to report no burn in at this point.

I have this on my iphone11 to prevent it, on your “reduce white point” at the settings then set it in 50%, change your home screen wallpaper to plain black. Set your display screen time in 30 seconds. Last dont use your phone with max brightness. Those are the ways guys, hope it might help you!

It happened pretty early when I had my X on the wifi and cellular bar logos but the good thing was that the screen was replaced for free. My 11 Pro looks great right now

Most of the used oled phones (on ebay, swappa) will have pretty significant burn-ins. The fact that your phone still has 90% after 2.5 years tells that it was very lightly used or it was used very carefully. 1:48 - pixel orbiting doesn't help that much.... Just let a static image with max brightness for 1-2 hours on any of your oled iphones and it will look horrible after.
