Better to think about an apple under water . Where you envision earth epoch of vision. where space should be at the center of earth is now pushed out on the surface where we stand and feel earth pushing us into space curvature. By product build up of curvature..
Trying to draw a horizontal evolutionary time line story line on absolute space is what really causes so much confusion.

Time is simply when you experience particles such as light heat or matter hitting you but if you move faster than the fastest particle aka light you will escape every particle and thus never experience them ( time travel )
