If you accept alien UFOs here at earth, then you must allow that possibility into this mystery.
Note there was nothing physical wrong, merely the apparent noise. Note, also, we were not told whether that sound was recorded by the equipment. Given that tests were done on the ground once the mission was over, we must accept that the sounds were real, recorded and analyzed by ground control.
If no reasonable explanation was released to solve the mystery, we can conclude that the sound was real and possibly caused by alien activities to send a warning to the Chinese that their incursions into space with humans were unwelcomed.

Can we conclude that the ETs have picked a political side of humanity to embrace, ignore, or gently repel?
