Windows 10 11 Recent files and favorites feature turn on and off in Files Explorer

You did not explain how to get rid of the favorites section in Win 11...Also, why is this so difficult to get rid of. I mean the purpose of putting stuff in folders is to hide it, and Windows decides it's gonna take and flag it into many OTHER folders.

I can't see the Favourites at all in my Windows 11 File Explorer. It's just a list of Quick Access items, the same as it was in Windows 10. I also can't see an option to enable it in any context menu either.

I am being asked constantly, and so are you by the look of some of the comments, how to remove completely the whole favourites section so it doesn't show anything, even the heading "Favourites" with it's dropdown arrow. Do you have any suggestions for anyone here who have asked this question?

Thank you so much. I am amazed how much regedit and other shenanigans i have to do to make windows 11 barely usable.
NET. frameworks, favorites my ass, recent my freaking ass. one time i load a folder on a program i get it suggested, even though that was it for me with that folder.
i mean come on, is all windows users tik-tok degenerates? Isn't the average user an old grandma from the 90's, so why do you change things all the time with these annoyances?
who do you aspire to replicate, and im asking microsoft!

also what the hell is up with not being able to remove the reccomended tab from the start menu? You turn it off, and still you need to look at the empty space?!?!?! WHAT THE FUUUCK?!?!?!?!?!?


I am so god damn mad at this shit, i go to linux soon, i just need to suffer that most of my software needs to be immulated to run there.
