As a parent of a 9 year old...(wait, he's gonna be 10 in a couple weeks, so a ten year old. Anyway...) I will say that while it's important to set a good example, and not live life by a "do as I say, not what I do" standpoint, it's also important for children to know there are things adults can do that they cannot. Adulthood sucks complete balls, and especially once you reach your 40's you've probably paid a good share of dues, so you deserve a little extra here and there.
