The Future Of Persona Is MASSIVE + Atlus' BIGGEST GAME Right Around The Corner

The future of the Persona series is absolutely massive, with Persona 6 likely to get announced soon, and with Persona 3 Reload's final DLC dropping next week. Even so, Atlus' biggest game is right around the corner, making the wait for the inevitable announcement for Persona 6 much, much easier. Atlus' biggest game is Metaphor: ReFantazio, a title developed by a number of staff who worked on many of Persona's biggest games, and this is a game that fans of Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and JRPGs in general should not miss out on. Outside of Persona 3 Reload's DLC and Metaphor: ReFantazio, we are once again reexamining old rumors and reports of various other Persona remakes and remasters, rounding out a stacked future for the Persona series. I can't believe they released Metaphor the same year as Reload and Vengeance. I thought it would've made far more sense to launch it next year so they could keep up the yearly games.

I would like an HD-2D remake of persona 1 and 2 like they did with dragon quest. I think if they do it right it could fit very well and make for an interesting change in visuals without having to change to the more "modern persona look", which isn't bad but it would make them feel more different than the persona most people know.
I haven't played a lot of persona 1 and 2 so I don't know how well the HD-2D style would fit but that's just my idea of how they could make it

Most excited about Metaphor. I've dabbled with some Megaten games as well as persona 5, but I've never managed to get through one. Metaphor seems to be heading in a direction more to my liking with some action based combat, class systems, getting out of the modern /post apocalyptic settings.

I think a new Etrian Odyssey game is possible for the 2025-2026 window as well. Maybe more aligned with the Switch 2 release. My most anticipated is Metaphor. That looks like it could be my new favorite game of all time

I would still make a P5 game, I was right about one that starts with T and I don't mean Phantom X.. given that at the end of Royal there are several unsolved mysteries

I still think it’s odd that they “couldn’t” do the FEMC route in the allotted time but yet modders said “Aight, bet!” and did it long before “Episode Aigis ” was even announced. So for Atlus to say that……it comes across as kinda disingenuous. Granted, I know they’ve got other projects that they are working on but my point still stands.

I think they will announced Persona 6 in TGA in "The Most Upcoming Games" titles, not sure 100% but do that will be much easier for marketing, just like Persona 5 announced trailer, no need something fancy just a short clips with based color ingame.

I loved this game, but unfortunately paying another $70 for an enhanced re-release to feature a second character that most platforms had the capacity for stings. They will need to be a trade-off like free DLC or a discount if you have the original reload in your memory. Luckily Atlus games tend to go on sale pretty quickly, especially on Amazon and Steam.
