While there have been many sightings of UFO’s and other unexplained phenomena, there is one event that has puzzled scientists and sparked people’s imaginations. This event is commonly referred to as the WOW event.

After many years of speculation, has the origin of the signal finally been solved?

Very interesting! We still are looking for alien radio signals, but I ask to myself: would aliens use radiowaves for communication just like us? We assume that, but we might be wrong. Maybe aliens use some unimaginable form of communication, but hey, let’s keep trying!

"Excuse me can you direct me to the nearest bus stop?"
... Ah, yes .. now let me begin with a brief history of bus stops, then I will move on to an overview of humanity's eternal quest for public transport in general.. I'll then move on to a more detailed presentation of the features of the specific bus service associated with that bus stop, and some interesting points on the decor of that particular bus stop and the area in which it is located. Then, once I am satisfied that my answer will pass the ten minute mark I will certainly begin to direct you to this bus stop.
"Ahh, thanks. And I'll ask someone else next time."

How to pad content with pointless verbiage.

7:45 video begins here, you're welcome. At least it wasn't click bait. I'll wait for Astrum to make a video about it for full details.

The thing is, IF the wow signal was alien contact, it would of been sent thousands of years ago before it reached us

The finding in which "the reason for WOW! is actually two comets" were rejeted so earlier by the scientific community. Recently a scentist called Alberto Caballero solved it, please see it and make a video of it.

Long ago it was wow signal sent and knew by SETI, by voices was said as code to communicate with intelligent ET.

I suggest this video be named Funniest Monkey found in an Alien Spaceship. That's a better click bait.

I never bought the idea that an alien civilization would receive our radio, television and other signals. By extension, we can't receive alien signals for the reasons below.

First, antennas broadcast signals horizontally, not to the skies. AM signals bounce off the ionosphere, that's why you can receive signals from far away at night. There may be some portion of the signal that gets thrown into space, I'm not sure. But even so, the other problem is that signal strength is greatly reduced the further away. We have a hard time receiving signals from Voyager and it's currently less than a light-day away from us, not light years, so hard to imagine a planet a few light years away being able to detect a signal from our broadcasts. Third, the Earth rotates as do other planets. Even if you could receive a signal strong enough, it has to be line of sight. Within seconds you'd lose it, if you found it at all. For all I know, that's what happened with the Wow Signal. But, if it was an alien civilization, why haven't we found more in the 45 years since? One last point, we broadcast many signals on the same frequencies, there's lots of stations on channel 6 for example. I believe these would all get garbled up together and be unreadable. I think that's why, even if there are aliens out there (and there likely is), we haven't found them.

Yes, there are some signals that go into space. To satellites for example, space probes and whatnot. Those to satellites are directed to them so little of the signal bleeds into space, although that is the most likely way they could find us, if I'm wrong about the above. It's been only 60 years since we started doing this so not that long really and if they are able to detect these and wanted to respond, well I'm not going to hold my breath. Even if, as some estimate, there could be 20 million civilizations in the galaxy, the closest one assuming a uniform distribution would be 200 light years away. We shouldn't expect a response for some time, if we can somehow detect a signal at all.

Hmmm….radio telescopes are generally passive receptors, as it makes no sense to try to ping objects many light years away, and a tremendous lag time involved. This sounds like complete BS to me.

Solved! Mmmkay.

Let’s assume for a minute that the two comets were headed in the right direction (they weren’t) and also in the exact right part of the sky at the time( also not) how would you explain the signal being picked up by one of the Big Ear’s horns and not the other? Comet scintillation?

In the research paper being published the peer review portion of the findings disproved comets as the source. This is not correct. Wow still remains a mystery to this day.

the comet answer for the wow signal was debunked.

You rabbited on for 10 minutes about stuff mostly irrelevant to the wow signal, mostly background information on constellations ! Then, when right at the end, when you finally got to the "wow" signal you simple said it had been solved. NOTHING more that "has been solved" !!! Extremely disappointing, even if understanding the solution is beyond 99.9% of people.
