I have been looking for a video like this to hardwire kit my dash cam but without hardwiring it to the fuse box. I don't want to mess around with the fuse box of my car. I just want to use a power bank or any external battery to enable it. So far, haven't found one. Maybe someone here can point me to a right video tutorial to do it. Thanks for sharing this video.

Hi, great video, quick question, - does an next base OBD have the same protection on not running the battery with the auto off if it gets too low?

I'm surprised that the fuse tap has to be inserted in a particular orientation. I didn't see any mention of this in the nextbase fitting instructions .

This hardwire will be the same steps as hardwiring the next base IQ dash cam?

EDIT: Ignore the following, it just plugs into the front dash cam.
Does the rear connect the same way, or directly to the front dash cam?

Annoyingly on the last step the fuse I took out, doesnt fit in the adaptor and the adaptor doesnt fit where the fuse came out of either. Both are only about 0.5mm too big too 🤦
