How to make pickled red onion for tacos and sandwiches. This recipe is quick and easy and it is delish. The onion remains crisp and it full of flavor. Use more or less sugar depending on how sweet you like them. The recipe is below 👇

Thinly slice a small red onion and place it in a jar.

Add 1/3 cup white vinegar + 1/3 cup water + 1/2 to 1 teaspoon sugar (depending on how sweet you like it) + 1 teaspoon salt in a small pot. Bring to a boil and stir until it is all dissolved.

Pour the hot liquid into the jar full of red onion and press down to submerge completely. Allow pickling for 30 minutes and serve in sandwiches or on tacos.

Keep in the fridge for 2 weeks.
