Attending the FIRST ever Cape Town E-Prix😁🙌🏼

As one of the most scenic cities in the world, Cape Town gets to play host to the 5th round of the 2023 E-Prix season and first ever Formula E race held in Sub-Saharan Africa. As avid Formula One fans, it was an honour to attend this event in our home city! 😁😍

The e-Prix is basically like formula one except it uses electric powered cars. They are designed to be environmentally friendly, with zero emissions and low noise levels. We love sustainability! 🙏🏻❤️

It would be brilliant for F1 to come to Cape Town. Everyone in the paddock was excited about a potential Kyalami return last year but Cape Town as a spectacle and backdrop would be such a massive advert for the country. Hope to see you cover the race when it happens.

I wish you didn't call F1 the "real" grand Prix. The e-Prix is also competitive and the drivers and teams take it as seriously as the F1 people.

Anyway as a Joburger, if the F1 returns to our country it has to be in Kyalami. No offense to the Cape but our track is kinda legendary and we used to host F1 races back when I was a child in the 90s. I think the best situation would be the e-Prix in Cape Town and the F1 in Joburg.

Also had a great experience! Tbf though, I don’t think Formula E is comparable to F1. It’s a totally different vibe, the racing is different, and it’s got the sustainability. We should embrace it for being different - it’s not F1 Lite!

I'm honestly disappointed that the Mahindra powered cars got withdrawn from the race, Kelvin got robbed from his home race because of unreliable machinery.

At least Sheldon took home the win at the Kyalami 9 hours, so that's at least something for the VDL Bros.
