We are also talking about Konami recently pulling out of E3 abruptly while also confirming they have new big projects in the works. The timing is interesting considering the amount of Metal Gar Solid and Silent Hill PS5 rumors there have been in the past year. Honestly it’s sad that Xbox said that The Last of Us 2 is the bar they hope to achieve, because think about it. That was a game running on last Gen hardware. They realize Sony will continue making better looking games than that right? If their bar for this gen is something from last gen then that is pathetic. No wonder they are so far behind.

The best thing to come out of this, is MS knowing what a great game looks like. They’re not lying to themselves internally. After MS thought Halo Infinite was ready to show and ready to go at launch, I was wondering how detached from reality they were, well not much apparently.

I always dream of Silent Hill returning to former glory, the good old team silent days.
Thought the action/combat suited TLOU well, it is not meant to be an all out thing, so I kind of disagree on that front as it is solid.
Also tlou2 was running on jaguar cores, so Lord knows what they'll achieve with this tech. If Insomniac out the gates with RnC is a sign of things to come then we're going to be eating well.

Much appreciation to the Xbox's review of TLOU2. Love it or hate it, you have to admit that the game's story leaves a deep impact to pretty much everyone from the day it was leaked, to release day until months later today. Most games are pretty much forgotten after a few weeks or a month. But not this game apparently. I remembered what WGG's Steimer once said in their podcast: if the story is that 'terrible', people would have moved on from it a long time ago.

I personally don't believe the Xbox and Konami rumors. I don't see the base for it. Especially since Sony is doing the Metal Gear Solid movie with Oscar Isaac.

Rather than aggressive acquisitions, look at Sony's multi-disciplinary purchases and holdings in recent months and their different specificity, Insomniac, Crunchyroll (anime / manga), Evo (esports), Kadokawa Corporation (Fromsoftware parent company) and Discord (VoIP)
Secure usage and access priorities, and development through agreed partnerships and purchases. Intelligence and sustainability, good work Sony.
