As a... somewhat decent now genji main. (I got 100 hours on him)

Imma give some advice on dragon blading, cause it's actually pretty hard to pull off if you're a begineer, though it did become a tad bit easier considering you can now get maximum 8 dragon blade swings in season 9.

1. This should be pretty obvious but... always remember that your swift strike cooldown resets upon using dragon blade.

2. Never waste swift strike. It's your most important tool to pull off the dragon blade, and if you waste it you are dead meat to the enemy team or just a running guy with a sword. As said in the video, always wait for heroes like moira to use their movement abilities (There are exceptions, like if they're low enough for a slash or even a swift strike to kill them.) or if you're suspecting them to, make sure the supports (Like zenyatta) use their ults, because your ult becomes useless once they use theirs.

3. Try to go for the weaker enemies rather than the tank. If you go for the tank you will waste your blade (Unless the tank is low) considering your swings can be healed by the support (Will most likely happen if you target the tank) or you will get killed off by the DPS or maybe even the tank.
If you have a good opportunity, always go for the support that can't escape from you at that current moment (or just not at all) and after that the damagers and then the tank. Of course this depends on who is close enough to get by swift strike or just close enough to you.

4. For the love of god, never swift strike STRAIGHT at an Ana. Ana can easily sleep dart you, causing your ult to be wasted, unless some enemy accidentally damages you and screw the enemy team up, but that's rare, the only case where this could work is if you see that the Ana used the sleep dart not too long ago.

5. You can sometimes use your swift strike after swinging your blade to finish off the enemy, which I recommend doing if the enemy is low enough.

6. Dear god never solo dragon blade anybody unless it's important. Solo ulting somebody is a waste of your blade, unless for example you're on overtime and you need to win one more round to win the game, and in that specific scenario it is excusable to use the blade on one person. (Yes I know the scenario can be very rare but it can happen.)

7. If you want to do nano blade with your Ana, always try to communicate with her, and always check if her nano is ready.
If you don't communicate with your Ana about wanting to do nano blade, she may nano you a bit late into your ult or not even be able to nano you at all, or even worse, use it on someone else while your ult is ready. And check if her nano is ready is... pretty obvious, you kind of HAVE to make sure she has nano if you want to nano blade.

8. Remember that deflect exists, some genjis completely forget that deflect exists while being blasted by the enemy team 'cause they're holdin' a sword, so please, remember that your deflect exists.



And... that's really everything that I can think of.
The advice will be really useful, but once you start following it all (or most of it at least), to improve with blading, it'll just take time and you'll eventually improve to the point you're despised by each enemy team you play aganst.
