My aliexpress split ring “tweezer’ broke so I got a gamakatsu mini split ring pliers. Pretty good quality for $12.

Thanks for sharing this. That Smith split ring tool from Japan is really disappointing. It's obviously made for very small split rings the but lip is too big.
