Having a calm instructor is so important for horses, did you see how they were quickly calm and controlled when she guided them

Once they finally get somewhat control of the horses...clapping and yelling from the audience...ooh now they're spooked again. Are people really that ignorant?

Horses are incredibly sensitive creatures. They feel both negative and positive energy acutely and react. I raised and trained horses for 20yrs. You can train them as well as a dog if you gain their trust.

that harness rigging seemed very wonky also seemed like the horses weren't that familiar with it. i agree with everyone that said more handlers were needed.

It looked like one of the reins was caught somewhere, throwing the team off kilter. Quick action from the handlers saved the day.

*It's almost like people forget that horses are animals. Sentient creatures with their own minds and emotions.*

Horses can sense and feel so much with their feet. It looked like the second team had an issue with something by their feet. In any case, kudos to that young woman for getting them under control. With all of those people so close, that could’ve been tragic.

People have no idea about anything. Even less when it comes to Horses. God help the Horses

The horse back right is harnessed all tight. Not good. It can hardly walk!

Out of control? I don't think that statement means what you think it means.... This was actually VERY controlled, I've seen hitch teams take off and destroy entire city blocks during parades. Just plowing through anything in their way, cars, people, buildings, signs, it didnt matter. They were so scared there was no stopping them until they unfortunately went down. The horses in this video are obviously well trained and even the most well trained horses spook, but they held it together long enough for the situation to calm itself down. Perfectly handled by absolutely everyone around them. The horses, the handlers on the ground, the team on the wagon and the spectators on the street watching the parade go on who moved slowly and quietly away from the barrier railing in between them and the hitch team, because of that it made for a fantastic outcome.

you can see near the end that one of the horses attempted to stop moving, these horses were clearly uncomfortable

The horses were spooked, and the people couldn't handle it

I love how they were calm and they were fixing the problem and weren’t yelling and punishing the horses at all!

You can see in the end that the hind horses are way too close to the wagon, and have little room for their hind legs. Their awkward movements may be what had set off the horses in the front initially
