The attack on a third bridge in the Russian region of Kursk will hinder Moscow's efforts to stop Ukraine's advance, Sky's defence and security analyst Professor Michael Clarke says.

Russia says a third bridge has been struck in Kursk, on the border with Ukraine, which Kyiv invaded two weeks ago.

As global tensions continue to rise, it's a good time to explore strategies for hedging our investments and reducing exposure to potential market volatility

I'm from belgium and like to hear professor Clarke talking ! He is a verry interesting and smart man who can talk and explain everything in a verry simple way. Most prof in every country like to use difficuld words just to impress the people, so they look verry smart ....

Capturing 1000 POWs and forcing the Russians to propose a prisoner exchange, when they had been refusing them before, seems like a significant military outcome.

The battle of the bridges just ended as Ukraine just destroyed the last bridge in Kursk.

Michael Clarke is outstanding. That's one of the best interviews and explanations I think I've EVER seen. He informed, he avoided rambling, he engaged the audience and the interviewer (who also did a fine job letting him achieve his potential) and he left us with an excited "to be continued; tune in subsequently" feeling. Well done!

“Fighting well, and losing slowly.” Is a great description for the war on the part of the Ukraine

There is nothing Russian in Muscovy whatsoever. Ukrainian forces are liberating a historically and ethnically Ukrainian region called Slobodskaja Ukraina that was occupied by Muscovy since 1918. Kureskъ, Ryleskъ, Sudža, Olgovъ and more are early medieval Severian, Ukrainian towns predating Moskva for centuries.

I remember when Ukraine 🇺🇦 launched its failed counteroffensive back in 2023, Mr Clarke said, "Ukraine is wining." Then he disappeared😮 since, now he came back with the same rhetoric glorifying Ukraine incursion of Kursk as a success.
The truth is Ukraine incursion in Russia 🇷🇺 territories were less defended & only defended by boarder guards & police man. For this, Ukraine sent its best elite army & reserves to penetrate the border and captured empty villages that have no military value. whereas Russia 🇷🇺 is capturing Ukraine 35% GDP lands. That's the difference.

However, Russa is capturing another big city of Ukraine as we speak Pokrovsk & NIu-york.
Trying to divert attention didn't work
Obviously, Ukraine gets media victory. I think just as "Ukraine failed, anticipated counteroffensive back in 2023", it a matter of time, time will tell. I have known many armies to enter Russan territories, but I have known none who safely got out again.
